# USB 10GbE Adapter

### Overview

WP-UT9 is a high-speed USB Ethernet adapter that provides up to **10GbE (10 Gigabit Ethernet)** connectivity for PCs and other hosts.

### Key Features

* Up to **10GbE** (backward compatible with **5G / 2.5G / 1G / 100M / 10M**)
* Recommended host interface: **USB 3.2 Gen2** (backward compatible; performance may vary on slower ports)
* Auto-negotiation
* Two LEDs: Amber (Link) / Green (Activity)

### Setup

1. Connect WP-UT9 to your host using a cable via the **USB female port**
2. Plug an RJ45 Ethernet cable into WP-UT9 and connect it to a router/switch
3. The system will detect and connect automatically

> For best performance, connect directly to a host USB port. Avoid low-speed hubs/adapters when possible.

### Driver Note

Most systems support plug-and-play. **Some systems or specific OS versions/environments may require driver installation.**\
For the latest drivers and support information, please visit Realtek’s official page:\

### Cable Recommendation

* **10GbE**: CAT6A or above
* **5G / 2.5G**: CAT6
* **1GbE or below**: CAT5e or above

### LED Indicators

* **Amber (Link)**: Solid on = Link established
* **Green (Activity)**: Blinking = Data activity (traffic)

### Notes

* For best 10GbE performance, use a **USB 3.2 Gen2** host port and a high-quality cable
* Throughput may be reduced when using hubs/docks/long cables
* Surface warming under high load is normal
